CHICAGO, Aug. 27, 2008 – Information Resources, Inc. Cummings will now lead its Modeling and Analytic Solutions Group. Cummings, who previously led IRI Solution Sales, will report to John Freeland, IRI’s president and chief executive officer.
“Pat is a 22-year veteran of the food and beverage industry and has a long history of bringing innovation and growth to sales and marketing organizations both inside and outside of CPG,” says Freeland. “His background includes a unique blend of general management, technology, business applications, brand and marketing analytics and business development skills combined with profit and loss responsibility—all of which are vital to the next wave of growth for our Business and Consumer Insights practice.”
Cummings was partner and managing director for Accenture Marketing Sciences in North America prior to joining IRI, where in just three years, he grew its analytics practice significantly year over year. During his tenure there, he spearheaded the growth of a very successful off-shore and near-shore team as well as the development and assimilation of process that resulted in highly-scalable, global analytics solutions.
Cummings also played senior leadership roles in sales, technology and solution development within the Marketing Resource Management space while working for technology start-up companies, Meadwestvaco – Paxonix, Inc. and Emmperative, Inc./Magnifi, Inc., and has held leadership positions in sales, business and solution development and marketing during his career with such companies as Ocean Spray Cranberries, Alpo Petfoods, The New Era Beverage Company and Johnson & Johnson.
